Dear parents

New recruit

I’m sure you have all met Rachel by now she has been working in the club since September. Rachel holds a level 3 NVQ and has many years of knowledge and experience under her belt, but more importantly Rachel is good fun and happy to get stuck in with any activities the children wish to do. She’s already a big hit with the children.

Swimming

Swimming will be taking place on a Thursday night over the next 3 weeks, we have too many children to take all in one session but will grantee that everyone will get to go. If your child does not attend on a Thursday we will also being swimming on a Tuesday.

After School Club Christmas Party and Christmas Trip

The children will be having a Christmas party on Thursday the 18th of December and will be having a Christmas trip to the Garden Centre on Wednesday the 9th of December.

Holiday Club Activities and Pantomime

We are hoping to take the children to the annual Christmas pantomime to watch Cinderella at Glyndwr University theatre in Wrexham. This will be on Tuesday the 23rd of December, there will be a small charge of £10.00 to attend the pantomime. So if you are interested please book in for the Out of School club on that day.

Website re-launch

As of this week we will have a new look website that is much more user friendly and is visually better to view on tablets and smart phones. The website has the two new reports from OFSTED and NDNA available to read so please take a look.

Winter Weather

Just a reminder of our policy; ‘There is no such thing as unsuitable weather, just unsuitable clothing!’ can we ask that you bring your children in with coats and suitable outdoor shoes or wellington boots now the weather has turned somewhat wintery

Questionnaire

The nursery prides itself on providing high quality care for all the children and parents we have at Jigsaw but, we’re always looking to improve. We therefore are asking you to take a few minutes to fill in the attached questionnaire to give us your opinion.

Evaluation gives us the opportunity to do better in what we feel we already do well. The questionnaire can be returned to your child’s room or it can be posted in the allocated box in the main entrance. When we have collected the information a summary and action points will be forwarded to you. Thank you in advance for participating, your opinion is valued.

Policy updates and reminders

If you wish to amend your child’s attendance in anyway such as extra days, session changes or holidays, it must be given in writing to the office with four weeks notice. However, if you wish to book extra sessions at short notice the nursery will try to accommodate your request.

Reminder that the nursery policy is that all fees should be paid in advance at the beginning of the month for the month due to commence, we have tried to keep payments simple by having a set charge every month. So please ensure that all payments reach the nursery by the 5th of the month. If payments are not received by the 5th of the month to clear your fees balance you will be subject to a penalty fine of 5% of the outstanding bill.

Shut down over Christmas

Just a reminder that the After School club will be closing on Friday the 19th of December and reopen on Monday the 5th of January at 8.00am. The Holiday Club will be Open from Monday the 22nd of December and will close on Wednesday the 24th December at 4.00pm and will re-open on Friday the 2nd January.
